飄逸的茶香．濃濃的人情味

茶館．說書人(廣東話為 “講古佬”)，出現於清末民初的中國民間。在這種茶館裏，飲茶只是媒介，聽書評才是主角。茶館直接將茶與文學聯繫起來，提供歷史知識，又達到消閒、娛樂的目的，老少皆宜。

評書，是當時老百姓最受的一種曲藝形式，其內容與表演手段是由說書人講述歷史故事或神話傳說，並時常有評點議論，故名曰評書。

依士靈頓華人協會 將於7月6日(二)於本中心推行 “茶館” 活動，並暫定逢星期二、五，下午一點半至兩點半舉行。每節有機會邀請到粵語或英語的說書人，為大家分享歷史，一同品嚐各種茶香。

收費︰

會員£2；非會員£5。

如當日已購買全日通日票，此活動已包括在內，無須額外收費。

A Taste of Tea．A Taste of Home．A Time for Tea

Tea houses and Story Telling are two things that go hand in hand in classical Chinese society. In a tea house, the genteel pastime of taking tea is always secondary to the main attraction – story-telling.

From this arose the historical connection between tea and the art of the reconteur. Story tellers presented a rich mix of folklore, snippets of history, literature, personal opinions, whiffs of fact and fiction all in a palatable way for young and old alike.

In July 2021 ICA will launch a twice- a-week activity entitled “Time for Tea” on Tuesdays and Fridays from 1:30pm to 2:30pm. ICA will invite either Cantonese Story-tellers or English Story-tellers to share their stories.

Fee: Members £2； Non-member £5。

This activity is part of ICA’s programme of recreational/drop in offerings. Those who purchase ICA’s Day Pass can enjoy these sessions at no additional charge.
