口罩傳情 Masked but not silenced

「口罩傳情」公開藝術項目已圓滿結束，欣喜收到了42 份各有特色的作品。

只要同心，就更強、更有希望。

宅家令把我們分隔，在ICA的社群我們卻是一體的。參加者在口罩上畫、寫、縫、貼，盡吐心中情。口罩面積細小，表達的信息自然是作者個人最為關注的。我把口罩作品疊起再合成下面的拼圖作品，以表團結一致與會員間互相支持。過去和往後無論發生甚麼事情，同心使我們更強、更無懼、更有希望。

「同心」二字用了已故朱良拱書法老師的墨寶， 以表懷念。

The “Masked but not silenced” public art project is now completed and we are delighted to see 42 interesting works. 

ARTIST STATEMENT Daisy Chan

We are in this TOGETHER.

Lockdown might have separated us but as a community we are one.  Participants expressed thoughts and feelings that they hold dear to their hearts on this small canvas of a face mask.  I piled them up and merged them to celebrate our unity and our mutual support in the collage below.  Whatever happened and will happen, we are stronger and more hopeful as we are in this together.

I pay tribute to late Master Zhu, our calligraphy teacher, by using his calligraphy for the Chinese characters 「同心」, meaning togetherness.
