Inspired by the inclusive social spaces of old-school Hong Kong cafés or ‘ice rooms’, the ICA Games Cafe is a new initiative that aims to bring together newly arrived Hongkongers, ICA members and the wider local community. Let’s make some new friends and share our different perspectives over board games and other fun activities!

Share Games & Hobbies
We have a range of classic board games to choose from, along with dominoes, chess, xiangqi, and various card games. But we’re really open to any game/hobby you like and can bring the minimal equipment for – puzzles, juggling, drawing, diabolo, knitting, magic tricks, you name it!
Food & Drink Potluck
We always offer tea, and usually various homemade (often vegan!) snacks/dishes. In the spirit of exchange, we also welcome anyone to bring along something you’d like to share with the group – whether you’re a keen baker, a more or less proficient cook, or just a fan of a particular brand of crisps! Contributions we’ve had so far include: pineapple-jackfruit upside-down cake, rice crackers, satay beef/mushroom sandwiches, egg roll wafers and Dragon Boat Festival dumplings!
(N.B. No alcohol.)
Music Station
We have bluetooth speakers, and are open to all genres and tastes, so treat us to your favourite song/album/playlist while we play some games together!
