Living in a new country like the UK brings many changes and new experiences. While we’re learning and settling into our new lives, have you ever thought about this question:
“When the time comes, are we ready to say goodbye with peace and love?”
This special tour invites you to explore UK funeral traditions and burial options. You’ll visit key sites to better understand the cultural practices and reflect on how we can plan for the end of life with dignity and peace of mind. Below are the tour details.

Reading Cemetery & Crematorium – 了解不同文化的葬禮、市政府提供𣎴同的安葬形式與紀念方式 Discover how different cultures in the UK hold funeral ceremonies. Learn about the services provided by local councils and experience the thoughtful and respectful ways people say goodbye.
Caversham Lock – 探討生命的流動性與自然的循環及撒灰骨灰在River Thames. Visit the peaceful riverside and explore how scattering ashes connects with the idea of life’s natural flow. A chance to reflect on the impermanence of life and the beauty of letting go.
The Sustainability Centre in Petersfield – 深入了解可持續生活與自然循環葬禮 Learn about eco-friendly funerals and sustainable living. Understand how natural burials honour the cycle of life and encourage us to return gently to nature.
行程
上午9時30分在唐⼈街光華書店 (112 Shaftesbury Avenue London W1D 5EJ) 出發
上午約11:00-11:45 到達Reading Cemetery & Crematorium
中午12:00-12:30 到達Caversham Lock
下午1:00-2:30 到Bracknell 自費午餐
下午2:30-4:45 到位於Petersfield 的The Sustainability Centre
下午5時回程約7時返倫敦唐人街光華書店 (112 Shaftesbury Avenue London W1D 5EJ) 出發
Itinerary
09:30am – Gather & start off at China Town (112 Shaftesbury Avenue London W1D 5EJ)
11:00-11:45am – Arrive Reading Cemetery & Crematorium
12:00-12:30pm – Arrive Caversham Lock
1:00-2:30pm – Arrive Bracknell and lunch at your own expense
2:30-4:45pm – Arrive Petersfield and visit The Sustainability Centre
5:00pm – Leave Petersfield and dismiss at Chinatown at around 7pm

Suggested minimum contribution of £32 / £38 will be donated to Islington Chinese Association

免責聲明及健康守則: i.) 參加者必須自行購買旅遊意外及人身安全保險，攜帶個人所需藥物。ii.) 本團須步行一定距 離，旅程中一切意外，本會不負任何法律責任。iii.) 參加者在出發當日請自行檢測及量度體溫，勤洗手，車上不開餐 ，不隨意轉換預先安排座位，保持個人及車廂整潔。 iv.) 所有團費一經繳付及確認，均不設退款。如出發日期前英國政府發出旅遊警告，不允許該段時間英國本地旅遊，所繳旅費即全數退還。
Disclaimer and health codes: i) The participants should arrange for their own travel and personal safety insurance and bring your medicine. ii) The walking tour will last for several hours. Please make sure you are fit for walking a long distance. iii)ICA is not responsible for the legal liability in case any accidents occur during the day trip. iii) You are encouraged to take the covid test and measure your temperature before your departure. No eating in the coach; no change of seats allocated; maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness of the coach. iv) All payment is non-refundable. If a travel warning is issued by the UK government, which do not allow local tours in that period of time, the fees will be refunded to the participants.
