Joanne CHUNG

I was born in Hong Kong and came to UK at the age of 8. As a child, I had previously participated in ICA events with my mother. I have previously volunteered as an English tutor at the Chinese Chamber of Commerce (UK) Chinese School for the children. I have over 15 years of experience in the legal field and have been qualified as a solicitor for almost 7 years. Previously, I have delivered free legal seminars at the ICA on the topic of “Wills and Lasting Power of Attorney” as well as “Property Conveyancing”. I enjoy Canton-pop karaoke as my past time, my favourite song is “Beautiful for Life.”

Frank LEE

My father used to work alongside The late Prime Minister LEE Kuang Yew, so he wished I could shine as brightly. I became a lawyer servicing many Malaysian Chinese in the communities. We live virtually next door to ICA. My family are ardent supporters of most ICA events and tours in the past years. I hope my son will understand more of the Chinese culture and language, and engage in the betterment of the wider communities as he grows up.

Kim Ho LUNG

My name is Lung Kim Ho. I became a British citizen in my early years. Before retiring, I was an Economics teacher and an administrative staff member at a secondary school in Hong Kong. Two years ago, I decided to return to the UK with my wife (Brenda Wong)to enjoy our retirement life. In my earlier years, due to work commitments, I didn’t have much time to engage in community activities. Now that I am in London, I hope to participate more and enrich my retirement life. A friend recommended the ICA to me, and the harmonious atmosphere, friendly volunteers, and diverse activities here helped me adapt to life in the UK more quickly. After two years, it is now time to give back. This time, I have decided to run for the management committee, hoping to contribute with my life and work experiences, especially in the area of interpersonal relationships. I aim to help bring together and assist new immigrants, long-term residents, and native-born Chinese, in the hope of building a stronger Chinese community in the UK and increasing our influence in British society!

Yvonne SIU

I am a retired primary school principal with 30 years of rich experience in teaching and school leadership. I currently work as a public exam invigilator in the UK. Through my years in education, I have developed strong skills in patient listening, understanding diverse views, and balancing stakeholder needs to foster a respectful and harmonious environment. I hope to bring these strength to the Association, working together with you to enhance community connection and make our voices heard. I would be truly grateful for your support. Thank you!

Ka Tsun TSANG

I have been living in the United Kingdom for over 50 years. I worked hard as a restaurateur in my younger days providing health and wealth to my family, all the children were well educated and bringing up their respective extended families. Loving my dear wife and family is always my priority in life, yet I continue to take part in community affairs especially related to Chinese welfare and education. I have been a dedicated supporter of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce (UK) Chinese School for many years.

Carolyn ZHUANG

I came from Cambodia. I have been a loyal member for many years and contributing to the establishment and running of the Table Tennis Group for 15 years. I genuinely care about ICA and the community, and if I’m elected, I will do my best to listen to your needs, help resolve any issues, and ensure that ICA is run smoothly, harmoniously, united and respectfully for everyone.

Voting Procedures for Election

To ensure the fairness, impartiality, and transparency of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) election, the following procedures will be implemented:

  1. Upon arrival, each member’s eligibility will be verified by ICA staff.
  2. If the member has submitted any proxy voting forms, these will be immediately confirmed by staff on the spot.
  3. Once verified, each eligible voting member will receive a wristband provided by ICA as proof of voting entitlement.
  4. During the election session:
      • Each wristband-wearing member will approach the front to collect one ballot.
      • If the member holds valid proxy forms, they may collect additional ballots equal to the number of proxies and cast all votes immediately.
  5. All ballots are anonymous. Each voter should vote for up to five candidates by placing a clear cross (X) on the ballot (fewer than five is also allowed).
      • Ballots with more than five selections or any markings other than cross marks (e.g. ticks, circles, words, symbols) will be considered void.
  6. After voting, staff will cut the wristband immediately to prevent double voting.
  7. All members are welcome to stay and observe the entire voting and counting process.

ICA is committed to upholding the fairness and transparency of the entire election process.
